Ingredients

What you need

  • 500 ml (about 17 fl oz) cold water
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine table salt

Method

Make it

  1. Add half the water to a clean 500 ml bottle.
  2. Add the maple syrup, citrus juice, and salt. Close and shake until the salt dissolves.
  3. Top with the remaining water, shake again, and chill until needed.

Pack and keep

Storage

Refrigerate and use within 24 hours. Wash the bottle promptly after use.

On the move

Use a leak-tested soft flask or bottle. Shake once before drinking if it has been sitting.
